on expectations
“i like me better when i’m with you.”
: i don’t want to waste my money on trying new boba if it turns out not good.
: well, don’t have expectations.
at first, i thought it meant:
“if you don’t have expectations, then you won’t have disappointment,”
but now i think,
yea you are right:
don’t have expectations,
and experience life as it is,
sometimes it brings you the most surprises.
because that was what happened:
that i always run into you,
when it was least expected.
but seriously,
what could you possibly have against a boba that makes you say these words?
regardless,
i always go back to the one that i love,
although i have tried so many others.
not because i have expectations;
but because in this whole damn world
that is so uncertain,
i desire something,
at least one thing
that is consistent.
