on dream
i used to have a big, big dream.
my dream is so big
inside fits
an apartment unit
a bed, a desk, a yoga mat;
a small nightstand,
a warm yellow lamp,
and a dog or a cat.
fully furnished,
with a floor full of pennies.
now i have a dream.
my biggest dream is to have
a little life.
a life so big,
it has books, flowers, music, muffins, matcha, movies, many many other things;
it has the sun, the sea, the stars and the sky.
i have a tiny dream,
a dream so tiny,
only you can fit.
i want to live a tiny life,
a life so silly
all we do is laugh, cry,
or laugh until we cry.
do silly things and linger on
each others’ gaze in the eyes
that only have each of us
and a blue blue sky.
hell, even purple is fine.
